Tammy Sue Hughes, 45, Elsmore, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 as the result of a car accident near Humboldt.

Tammy was born Jan. 2, 1966 at Bremen, Ind., the daughter of Charles and Sharon Denslow Leckrone. She graduated from Iola High School in 1985. She had resided in Chanute, Erie and Elsmore.

On March 17, 1999 Tammy married John Hughes at Parsons. She was a member of the Stark Friends Church.

Tammy was preceded in death by one grandson, Shawn Blevins. Jr.

She is survived by her husband, John, Elsmore; three daughters, Helen Leckrone, Elsmore, Marie Culler, Wichita, and Tiffany Leckrone, Chanute; two grandchildren; her mother, Sharon Denslow, Savonburg; her father, Charles Leckrone, LaGrange, Ind.; a brother, Chuck Leckrone, Savonburg; two sisters, Sherry Caudill, Olive Hill, Ky., and Kimberly Leckrone, Savonburg.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23 at the Stark Friends Church, 206 S Washington St. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Savonburg. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the church.
