Anna Mary “Annie” Berkey, 87, Chanute, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Annie was born in Nova, Ohio on August 28, 1923, the daughter of Ed and Ella Barr Motter.

Annie was united in marriage to Paul C. Berkey in Ashland, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1986.

She worked as an apartment manager in Fountain, Colo., where she lived for 27 years. She retired in 1988.

Annie is survived by three sons, Jim Berkey, Colorado Springs, Colo., Lee Berkey, Columbus, Ohio, and Bill Berkey, Ashland, Ohio; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.

Memorials in her name may be made to Cherry Street Youth Center and may be left with the funeral home.
