Leamon was born in Parsons on March 8, 1929, the son of Arthur “Deke” and Elizabeth Laisure Hardman. He graduated from Chanute High School.
He was united in marriage to Betty Ann Lee on Sept. 19, 1948 in Texas. She survives, of the home.
Leamon worked as a building inspector for the City of Chanute, retiring after 30 years of employment.
Along with his wife Betty, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle Hammett and her husband, William, Pacific, Mo.; a son, Michael Hardman and his wife, Marilyn, Aurora, Mo.; six grandchildren, Mathew Hammett, Warrenton, Mo., Maryn Hammett, Pacific, Mo., David Hardman, Aurora, Mo., Candice Cosper, Aurora, Mo., Angelela Weischedel, Aurora, Mo., and Sean Hardman, Nashville, Mo.; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Merle Gardner.
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be made to Cherry Street Youth Center and may be left with the funeral home.
