Phillip E. Lucke, 60, Chanute, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

Phil was born in Chanute on August 21, 1950, the son of James Henry and Edith Bade Lucke. He graduated from Chanute High School.

He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Phil was united in marriage to Linda Collyar on May 22, 1970. She survives, of the home.

He worked as a diesel mechanic for more than 35 years, retiring from Cornish Wireline Services in 2009.

Phil enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing pool, camping and boating and spending time with his family.

He was a member of the American Legion.

Phil is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Larson and her husband, Joseph, Cherryvale; a son-in-law, Gilbert Haynes, Chanute; four grandchildren, Derek, Jacob and Triston Larson, Cherryvale, and Kaitlyn Haynes, Chanute; his mother, Edith Lucke, Chanute; three brothers, Mike Lucke and his wife, Jodi, Chanute, Pete Lucke and his wife, Jerrie, Humboldt, and Frank Lucke. Nowata, Okla.; and a mother-in-law, Myrtle Collyar, Chanute.

He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Lucke; a daughter, Krista Haynes; a granddaughter, Shelby Haynes; a brother, Rick Lucke; and his father-in-law, L.E. “Mutt” Collyar.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at the First Baptist Church in Chanute.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Memorials in his name may be made to the American Legion Riders or the Three Rivers Pool League and may be left with the funeral home.
