Larry Dean Haynes, 52, Chanute, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2011 at his home.

Larry was born in Wichita on Sept. 6, 1958, the son of William “Bill” Russell and Geraldine Leonard Haynes. He graduated from Wichita West High School in the Class of 1976.

He worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts for more than 20 years.

Larry is survived by a brother, Ron Haynes and his wife, Regina, Bentley; a sister, Judy LeRoy, Lenexa; nieces, Krissey Kauffman, Wichita, Cassie Beckner, Wichita, Tiffany Seaman, Kansas City, Mo., Sheena Francis, Lenexa, and Jamie Francis, Lenexa; a nephew, Christian LeRoy, Lenexa; and special friend, Yolanda Bloemer.

He was preceded in death by his parents. William Haynes and Geraldine Haynes-Berry; and his grandparents Verna and Gilbert Haynes.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. today, Feb. 5 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family received friends on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
