Sharon Lee Miley, 68, Chanute, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

Sharon was born in Chanute on Feb. 18, 1942, the daughter of Frank and Eva Shepard Gossett. She graduated from Chanute High School.

She was united in marriage to Gordon Miley on Dec. 23, 1960 in Grove, Okla. He survives, of the home.

Sharon was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoying winters in Texas.

Along with her husband, Gordon, she is survived by a son, Brian Miley and his wife, Cheri; a daughter, Susan Rhodes; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronald Gossett and his wife, Vickie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with Pastor Harry Disbrow officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Food Pantry at the Otterbein United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
