Ola L. Sparks Crawford, 69, Iola, formerly of Mound Valley, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at Via Christi-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born June 8, 1941, in Atkins, Ark., to Jack and Bertha Byrd Thomas. She grew up in southeast Kansas where she attended school.

She and Charles Sparks were married in January of 1960. He preceded her in death. She and Lawrence Crawford were married in May of 2007. He survives, of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Mark Allen Sparks, Gas City, Donald Eugene Blake, Carolina; one daughter, Deborah Diane Wilson, Chanute; three grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Thomas, Ft. Smith, Ark.; four sisters, Betty Hopkins, Parsons, Bea Hedrick, Mound Valley, May Kitter, Alpena, Mich., Charlotte Tuten, Mt. Vernon, M.

Funeral was 2 p.m. Monday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial was in East Bethany Cemetery.
