William “Bill” David Call, 82, Chanute, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Bill was born in Patricksburg, Ind. on Nov. 2, 1928, the son of Robert and Irma Lloyd Call. He graduated from Sedgwick High School in 1946.

He served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserve from 1951 to 1957.

Bill worked for the United States Post Office for 18 years.

He is survived by seven sons and three daughters and their spouses; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Call, Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and three grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials in his name may be made to Chanute Healthcare Center and may be left with the funeral home.
