Maxine Elizabeth Street Aitken, 93, died in Dodge City on Nov. 8, 2010. Maxine was the daughter of J.C. and Lena McCall Street. She was born in Shady Bend, Kan. on May 22, 1917. She married King Phillip Aitken, Jr., on May 22, 1937.

Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by daughers Susan Johnson and Sandie Shipley; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchilden; 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Phil.

As a military wife, she lived all over the country including Yates Center.

Graveside service will be at Yates Center Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov, 12. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or to Friends for Life and sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home, P.O. Box 188, Yates Center, Kansas 66783.
