Larry Dean Ridge, 54, Humboldt, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010.

Larry was born in Iola on Dec. 14, 1955, the son of Ernest and Ruth Elizabeth Sutterby Ridge.

He previously worked at Humboldt Industries.

Larry loved working on the computer and playing on Facebook. He always loved helping family and friends in any way he was needed. He also enjoyed entertaining friends at his house on several occasions. He had a zest for life and always a smile on his face.

He is survived by a brother, Gary Ridge and his wife, Traci, Iola; three sisters, Wanda Clay, Humboldt, Donna Klauman and her husband, Elton, Phoenix City, Ala., and Rhonda Riddle and her husband,Steven, Chanute; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Ridge.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Humboldt Food Pantry and may be left with the funeral home.
