Nancy Louise Bohrer, 58, longtime Chanute resident, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. She had been in failing health.

She was born Oct. 24, 1952, at Chanute, a daughter of Asa Wesley and Letha Belle Yarnell Bohrer. She grew up at Erie and attended school there, graduating from the Erie High School in 1970. She then attended the Labette Community College and later went to Nurse’s School at Pittsburg State University. She returned to Chanute and began employment at Neosho Regional Memorial Hospital where she worked for 10 years, later working at Nursestat in St. Paul.

She was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include two brothers, Perry Bohrer, rural Erie, Asa Bohrer, Jr., rural Erie; two sisters, Darlene Williams, Merkel, Texas, Joyce Maloun, Chanute.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home at Erie. Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today.
