Adelle Medoria “Dutch” Allen, 82, Humboldt, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at the Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.

Adelle was born in Sapulpa, Okla., on Oct. 18, 1928, the daughter of George and Medoria Holmes Hall. She graduated from Chanute High School in the Class of 1946.

She was united in marriage to Billy Gene Allen on Sept. 15, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1995.

She was a homemaker.

Adelle is survived by a son, Nick Allen, Humboldt; grandsons, Cayle Allen, Chanute Colby Allen Peoples, Rockwall, Texas, and Jared Allen, Newton; a granddaughter, Kasey Allen, Newton; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bert Wilson, Burbank, Calif., and Patty H. Saylor, Montgomery, Ala.; and two brothers, Ted Hall, Collinsville, Okla., and Wayne Hall, ancaster, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Billy G. “Chip” Allen, a daughter, Tracey K. Allen, a sister, Sunshine Courter, and a brother, Bobby Hall.

Cremation has taken place.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to Castaways Animal Sanctuary and may be left with the funeral home.
