Wanda Lee Bright, 84, Chanute, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.
Wanda Lee was born in Parsons on April 10, 1926, the daughter of Frank L. and Dollie Hurt Ranabargar. She moved to Chanute as a baby and attended Chanute schools.
She was united in marriage to Charles L. Bright on Oct. 18, 1941 in Chanute. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2003.
Wanda Lee worked with Charles as the bookkeeper for Bright’s Ditching in Chanute and continued that position with her son after Charles’ death.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Bright and his wife, Marla, Chanute; a grandson, Devin Bright, Watertown, NY; a brother, Lloyd Ranabargar, Temple City, Calif.; and a sister, Deedee Bennett, Chanute.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles; a grandson, Bryan Bright, and two brothers, Clyde Ranabargar and Kenneth Ranabargar.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute. Burial will follow in Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
