CHANUTE—The Chanute High School girls softball team let a sweep slip away.
With that, the Blue Comets settled for a split with Pittsburg on Thursday.
Pittsburg won game one 9-4, but Chanute took game two 11-6.
In game one, Chanute had four errors which led to four unearned runs.

CHANUTE—The Chanute High School softball team began the 2010 season by sweeping Eureka on Tuesday night.
Chanute won game one 15-0 and then took game two 11-1.
“It was a great way to start the season,” Chanute Coach Don Simmons said.
