Chanute Wrestling Club Sub-District results
Four members of the Chanute Wrestling Club placed on Saturday at Sub-District, and will be moving on to the District One Tournament Saturday March 23 in Holton. The top four in each weight will move onto the State Tournament March 29-30 in Topeka.
2nd Place- Brady McDonald 10 and under 82 lbs, Logan McDonald 10 and under 85 lbs
3rd Place- Trey Dillow 8 and under 70 lbs
4th Place- Brayden Dillow 10 and under 110 lbs

Panthers split doubleheader in KCK
KANSAS CITY — The NCCC Panthers split the first games they played against KCK on Saturday, falling in the first game 5-3 and winning the second game 10-2. Weather again caused some shuffling of the schedule, as Saturday night’s storms postponed the doubleheader scheduled for Sunday until Monday. Comets fall in opening baseball doubleheader
First-year Chanute head baseball coach Josh Messer described Chanute’s season-opening outing as a “rough one” for the Comets.

Some really good bowlers go their whole lives without achieving the perfect game of 300. Chanute resident Kyle Rowe has defied odds by pulling off this great feat twice in five weeks. He rolled his first-ever perfect game towards the end of January, in his league at C & H Lanes.

Blues undefeated in State Tournament
The Chanute Blues 6th grade boys’ club basketball team brought home the gold March 3 at the USSSA D2 State Basketball Tournament, hosted by USSSA and Agape Hoops. Panthers hosting Indy in today’s weather-delayed doubleheader
Weather has once again caused changes in the NCCC baseball schedule. Because of rain in the area this weekend, the doubleheader between the Panthers and the Independence Pirates that was originally scheduled to occur on Sunday will now be played later today at 1 p.m. at the stadium on the campus of Neosho County.

Both the CHS softball and baseball teams were selected to finish fourth in a pre-season poll of SEK coaches. These results were released at a league coach’s luncheon in Pittsburg on Monday.

Second consecutive overtime victory sends undefeated Cubs to State
