IOLA—Riding high after a huge win on Saturday, the Chanute Blue Comets kept the momentum going forward with a 60-55 win over the host Iola Mustangs on Tuesday night at Iola High School.
Chanute built a 16-point advantage by halftime and then held off a late Mustangs run to secure the win.

The Royster Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team competed at Coffeyville on Monday.
Coffeyville defeated Royster 47-16.
The hosts led 19-2.
“Coffeyville was very quick and we didn’t handle it well,” Coach Steve Slane said. “We still have some very tough games coming up, so we have to compete.”
