Irene Clara Schroeder Carl, 94, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Manor Care at Oak Lawn West, Oak Lawn, Ill.
She was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Barton County, Kan., to Henry J. and Clara Frances Geil Schroeder.
She married Ralph E. "Pete" Carl July 6, 1943, at Albert, Kan. He died Oct. 15, 1975. She worked for Burlington Overall Factory in Chanute as a seamstress. She moved to Great Bend from Chanute in 1977 and then to Oak Lawn in 2005.

Ennis Blohm Seigel, 80, Iola, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.
Ennis was born Nov. 7, 1930, at Humboldt, the daughter of James Coy and Ellen Ollie Moody Aggers. She grew up in the Humboldt and Neosho Falls areas.
In 1947, Ennis married Ray Blohm and they made their home in Iola. She worked at Allen County Hospital for almost 30 years, retiring in 1998. Ray preceded her in death on August 12, 1994.

Hazel Marie Fundis, 95, Iola, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Iola Nursing Center.
Hazel was born August 7, 1915, at LeRoy, the daughter of Omer and Laura May Sims Gwinn. She graduated from LeRoy High School.
On March 28, 1935, Hazel married Wesley G. Fundis and they lived and farmed near Aliceville for 52 years. In January of 1987, they moved to Iola. Wesley preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2002.
