After a five-hour workshop Monday night, the Chanute City Commission approved publication of the 2012 Budget Notice on August 5 and holding the budget public hearing at the 7 p.m. Monday, August 15 meeting. HUMBOLDT — Members of the Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department responded to the home of Troy and Yolanda Habiger, 318 S. Ninth St. in Humboldt, on Saturday morning. YATES CENTER — The Yates Center Police Department early Friday morning arrested a 58-year-old female for threatening to kill her neighbor.
