St. Patrick Catholic Church is sponsoring a Christian film at the Roxy 4 theater this weekend.
“October Baby” will play at the Roxy 4 Theatre today, Saturday and Sunday.
St. Patrick Catholic Church youth director Zack Williams said the church is sponsoring the film in order to spread its message.
“We wanted to get a Christian values film into Chanute,” he said.

Local archers compete in Hays meet
On March 31, 18 local youth archers attended a meet in Hays.
Archers shoot three rounds of five arrows at two different distances of 10 and 15 meters. A perfect score would be 300. This sport is broken by grade divisions, 4th-6th grade, 7th -8th grade and 9th -12th grade.

HUMBOLDT — Beginning this weekend, Humboldt’s Downtown Action Team will start its work on renovating the bandstand in Humboldt’s City Square Park.
The DAT discussed its current and future plans at a press conference Monday morning held at Stacy Cakes, a new bakery on the Humboldt Square.¬†
